Grilled Halibut with Lemon Caper Sauce

Grilled Halibut with Lemon Caper Sauce This doesn’t take long to prepare, but does require time to marinade, so plan ahead.

2 halibut fillets halibut fillets
1 teaspoon lime juice lime juice
4 teaspoon olive oil, divided olive oil, divided
1 teaspoon shallots, minced shallots, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice lemon juice
1 teaspoon capers capers
3 tablespoon heavy cream heavy cream
1 ˝ ounces unsalted butter unsalted butter

  1. In a small bowl, combine lime juice and 1 teaspoon oil. Whisk till blended.
  2. Place fish in a large bowl and pour juice-oil mixture over.
  3. Refrigerate fish 2 to 4 hours.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon oil to frying pan and heat over medium-low heat.
  5. Add shallots and saute.
  6. Add lemon juice and capers and reduce one minute.
  7. Add cream and bring to a boil to reduce for 2 or 3 minutes over medium-low heat.
  8. Reduce heat to low and add butter one cube at a time and stir in.
  9. Remove from heat.
  10. Grill marinated fish over medium heat for five minutes.
  11. Turn fish and grill the other side for 5 minutes.
  12. Place fish on serving plates and cover with sauce.
  13. Serve with rice and/or vegetables.
  14. Serves 2. Enjoy.
