Pull-apart Cheese Bread

1 (1 pound) loaf sourdough bread, unsliced loaf sourdough bread, unsliced
12 ounce Monterey Jack cheese Monterey Jack cheese
Ĺ cup butter butter
Ĺ cup green onions, chopped fine green onions, chopped fine
2 teaspoon poppy seeds

  1. Cut bread loaf most of the way through in both directions to make about 1 inch squares, but donít cut all the way through so the pieces are still connected.
  2. Place a large piece of foil on a baking sheet.
  3. Place the bread on the foil.
  4. Cut thin slices of cheese and insert into the cuts in the bread in both directions.
  5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  6. Combine melted butter, chopped onions, and poppy seeds.
  7. Drizzle butter mixture over bread.
  8. Loosely wrap the loaf with the foil and fold over edges.
  9. Place bread on baking sheet in oven and bake 350 degrees F for 15 minutes.
  10. Unwrap and bake another 10 minutes.
  11. Serve. Pull cubes off the loaf. Enjoy.
