Strawberry Pie

Not only are strawberries delicious, but loaded with healthful nutrients.

1 pie shell
2 pounds strawberries (4 cups)
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoon corn starch
2 tablespoon lemon juice

  1. Pinch small holes in pie shell with fork and bake at 350 d f for 15 minutes.
  2. Set nicest third of strawberries aside.
  3. Line pie crust with nice half of strawberries.
  4. Crush remaining strawberries well.
  5. Combine sugar and cornstarch.
  6. Cook over low heat until transparent.
  7. Pour cooked mixture over
  8. Cool.
  9. Top with whipped cream if desired.
