Waffles are easy, Wiffles are almost as easy but better. An original creation by Kenneth Larson.
The trick is to try different things.

1/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup rolled oats, pulverized
3/4 cup white or unbleached flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour or corn meal
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (or chunky home made)
1 egg
1 tablespoon Canola oil
3/4 cup milk (or enough for a medium consistency
1/4 cup chopped pecans

  1. Mix all dry ingredients except nuts.
  2. Add liquid ingredients and mix well.
  3. Pour into a Belgium waffle iron and sprinkle chopped pecans across the top.
  4. When done, add toppings of your choice, butter, margarine, syrup, honey, peanut butter, strawberries.
  5. Option is to use blueberries instead of pecans.
  6. Be careful. The apples cause more steam than in waffles.
